Learning and Organisational Development Assistant

Salary: £16,518 - £24,777 per annum (the salary shown has been pro-rated)

Hours: 20 - 30 Hours per week 

Contract: Permanent

Location: Service Headquarters, Huntingdon 

Hybrid Working - we offer a flexible, agile, hybrid working pattern where you can work from home, as well as from Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service and other locations around Cambridgeshire.

 

About the role 

Are you passionate about helping people grow and supporting great learning experiences? In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting the delivery of learning and organisational development initiatives that help our people reach their full potential. 

You’ll be at the heart of our learning activity; coordinating programmes, developing eLearning content, and making sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish. From booking venues and managing attendance to maintaining accurate training records, you’ll help keep our learning offer organised, efficient, and impactful. 

Working closely with the Learning and Organisational Development Partners, you’ll support a variety of development projects and contribute fresh ideas to enhance how we learn and grow as an organisation.

About you:   

We welcome applications from all backgrounds and experiences, but the ideal person will have: 

  • Strong commitment to continuing professional development, demonstrated by evidence of ongoing learning and development. 
  • Understanding of learning management systems.  
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.   
  • Ability to liaise professionally with people of all levels, from senior managers to members of the public.  
  • Experience working with external training providers or facilitators.  
  • Experience supporting functions in an administrative capacity.  
  • Experience of servicing meetings, including preparation of agendas; recording of minutes and key actions; monitoring the implementation and achievement of key actions.   
  • Proven experience of using Microsoft365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, to intermediate level and willingness to use technology to its full capacity.   
  • GCSE grades A-C (CSE, ‘O’ Level or equivalent).
