Fire in the open - Sawston - South Cambs

At 8.43am on Thursday (9) the south roaming fire engine was called to a fire in the open on Church Lane in Sawston.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving a muck heap. The crew used a hose reel to stop the fire from spreading and allowed the fire to burn under control.

Crews have continued to return to the incident to reinspect and ensure the fire is under control.
