Fire in the open - Chevely - East Cambs

At 9.46am on Saturday (9) crews from Burwell and Newmarket (Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service) were called to a fire in the open on Broad Green in Chevely.

Firefighters arrived to find a muck heap well alight. Crews used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and returned to their stations by 12pm.

Firefighters have since returned to check for hotspots.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
