Lorry fire - A14 - Huntingdonshire

At 9.59am on Thursday (29) crews from Yaxley, Stanground and Huntingdon along with Kettering (Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service) were called to a lorry fire on the A14 Westbound near Catworth. 

Firefighters are working hard to extinguish the fire. The road is likely to be closed for a prolonged period of time and motorists are advised to find an alternative route. 

 

Update 1.36pm:

Firefighters have been working hard to extinguish the fire wearing breathing apparatus and using hose reels.
Good progress is being made, but the road remains closed while recovery takes place.
