House fire - Romsey - Cambridge

At 10.50am on Wednesday (8) two crews from Cambridge along with the south roaming fire engine were called to a house fire on Stourbridge Grove in Cambridge.
On route to the incident, crews were informed that three people were trapped inside the property.
Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters quickly rescued three adults from a first-floor window.
Firefighters worked hard to extinguish the fire, before using a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke.
Crews returned to their stations by 1.45pm.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
Area Commander Rob Olivier said: “Crews did an incredible job rescuing people from a house fire on Wednesday morning. Despite incredibly difficult conditions with the current hot weather, firefighters were able to rescue three adults from a first-floor window.
“Control colleagues did an invaluable job in providing the people in the house with advice to keep them as safe as possible while the crews responded. Our Control was also able to ascertain where they were in the house as well as other important information that allowed firefighters to rescue them quicker.”
