Fire in the open - Balsham - South Cambs

At 4.53pm on Tuesday (4) crews from Cambridge and the south roaming fire engine along with Newmarket (Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service) were called to a fire in the open on the A11 near Balsham. 

Firefighters used hose reels to extinguish a fire affecting a hedge and returned to their stations by 8.45pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
