Vehicle spillage - A14 - Huntingdonshire
02/10/2026 1.30PM
At 1.30pm on Friday (2) crews were called to an incident on the A14 westbound between junctions 22 and 23, near Brampton.
Crews from Huntingdon, Gamlingay, St Neots and Stanground, along with the north roaming fire engine and incident support unit, attended the incident.
Firefighters arrived to find a lorry in a layby containing chemicals that were leaking. The spillage is contained and a specialist environmental clean up company is now on scene to clear the carriageway.
All lanes of the A14 were temporarily closed to allow crews to safely contain the incident. One lane has since reopened but motorists are advised to avoid the area as the lane closures will remain in place for a number of hours.
