House fire – Wistow - Huntingdonshire

At 1.16pm on Friday (17) crews were called to a fire on Oaklands Avenue in Wistow.

More than 20 firefighters, including crews from Ramsey, Huntingdon, St Neots, Chatteris, Dogsthorpe and Whittlesey attended the incident.

Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire in the kitchen of a semi-detached house, which was spreading to neighbouring properties. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and jets.

The crews returned to their stations by 6pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
