Help your local firefighters raise money for charity

Firefighters from across the county are raising money for The Fire Fighters Charity this summer, and you can help make a difference by attending events at your local fire stations.

Stations in Sawtry, Linton, St Ives, and Cottenham have already held successful events, collectively raising an incredible amount for the cause.

Every penny raised helps The Fire Fighters Charity continue its vital work, providing physical and mental health support to both serving and retired firefighters, as well as their loved ones.

We believe we can still raise more and add to the already incredible amount that has been fundraised for the charity.

Find out if your local fire station is holding an event from the list below, you’ll not only be contributing to a fantastic cause but also have the chance to meet your local firefighters and learn more about their work in the community.

We will always promote upcoming events on our website and social media channels:

Phil Thacker, The Fire Fighter Charity coordinator for Cambridgeshire commented:

“Our car washes and open days are always so well supported so please do come along and take part in our events this summer.”

“At our car washes, we’ve previously cleaned everything from vans and ambulances, to bikes and scooters, so we can’t wait to see what turns up at the car washes over the next few weeks.”

All the above events are being held at fire stations with on-call firefighters. On-call firefighters are people that respond to emergencies around their other work or life commitments. We are actively recruiting more on-call firefighters at fire stations across the county, to find out more about how you can help your local community visit the careers section of our website.
