Chimney fire – Ailsworth - Peterborough

At 8.17am on Thursday (23) a crew from Dogsthorpe was called to a fire on Helpston Road in Ailsworth.

Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire involving a chimney in a house. They extinguished the fire using a hose reel and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan. The crew returned to their station by 9.30am.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
