House fire - Little Downham - East Cambs

At 6pm on Friday (31) crews from Ely and Littleport were called to a house fire on Eagles Lane in Little Downham.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

Sadly, a casualty died at the scene.

Crews returned to their stations by 8.15pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
